The Dallas RRM is not a prison at all but a Residential Reentry Management field office of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, based out of the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Complex in Grand Prairie, Texas. Its staff don't hold inmates on site; instead they oversee halfway houses (residential reentry centers) and home confinement placements for federal offenders across northern Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas as they transition back into the community near the end of their sentences. The office also acts as the Bureau's local point of contact with federal courts, the U.S. Marshals Service, and state and local corrections agencies. Because it's an administrative office rather than a facility with a physical inmate population, it doesn't have the kind of institutional history that a prison campus does; its role is coordination and oversight of reentry programs rather than housing.
